RAWALPINDI:  More than 45 incidents of street crime were reported to the Rawalpindi district police on Tuesday, with the perpetrators depriving individuals of cash, mobile phones, and gold jewellery.

Zeeshan Hussain Shah, one of the robbery victims complained to the Naseerabad police that two persons came on a motorcycle intercepted his car and snatched Rs3, 70,000 and a mobile phone and escaped.

Malik Ahmed Khan, who owns a sanitary store at High Court Road, reported to the Airport police that five robbers entered his shop and held him and grabbed Rs576,000 from the drawer after threatening them to kill and later fled on their motorcycles.

Mohammad Ahsan was sitting with his friend Shoaib at his sanitary ware shop in Morgha when three persons entered his shop while their fourth accomplice stayed at the entrance door.

They snatched Rs350,000 from Shoaib, Rs70,000 from Ahsan’s pocket, and also took Rs100,000 and 7 tolas of gold jewellery lying in the safe.

Shahid Altaf, a shopkeeper, was robbed of Rs250,000 and a mobile phone by two robbers in Wah Cantt, Mohsin Shahzad, a resident of Westridge and Gul Rehman were robbed of cash and mobile phones by two unidentified gunmen.

Ms Azeem Akbar complained to the Race Course police that some unidentified burglars broke into her house in her absence and stole Rs100,000 and gold jewellery worth Rs1 million.

Mohammad Mansha was shot and injured on offering resistance to robbers in the Race Course area.

Junaid Jamshaid’s car was stolen from the parking lot of Cantonment Hospital, while Naseerullah’s rickshaw was stolen from the Airport police area.

Hameed Nawaz’s motorcycle was lifted from Sadiqbad while Mohammad Bilal Tariq’s motorcycle was picked up from outside the Anti-Terrorism Court, Mohammad Nawaz’s motorcycle was stolen from the City police area and Atif Irshad’s motorcycle was stolen from the New Town area.

Saleem Akhtar’s motorcycle was lifted from Naseerabad, Muhammad Naeem’s from R.A Bazar while Syed Ghani’s motorcycle was stolen from Race Course area.
