KARACHI: The education and literacy department and college education department of the government of Sindh issued notifications on Friday about reopening of educational institutions on Monday (August 30).

Both government and private schools and colleges will strictly follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) as per directions of the working committee of the steering committee on education.

They shall remain open for six days a week and ensure 50 per cent attendance of students on alternate days.

Beside, all heads of educational institutions will ensure 100pc vaccination of teaching and non-teaching staff by producing evidence to the regional heads concerned.

All educational institutions will ensure 100pc adherence to the Covid-19 SOPs.

There will be random PCR testing conducted by the health department as and when required.
