VACCINE RECORDS

VACCINE RECORDS: A few days ago, I visited a vaccination centre for my first dose of the Covid vaccine. When I was done, the person who was registering my details asked me if it was my second dose. I told him clearly that it was my first, but was shocked when he showed me the official details via text message which stated that I had taken my first dose on May 10. This was absolutely incorrect. I personally checked and found the same discrepancy showing against my name. How am I supposed to complete my vaccination now? The authorities concerned should take due action forthwith.

DEPLORABLE CONDITION: I recently visited Civil Hospital, Hub, for the second dose of Covid vaccine. Unfortunately, the hospital was in a deplorable condition. The Sinopharm vaccine was not available at the hospital and the staff was quite keen on misbehaving with just about everyone. Moreover, the environment of the hospital was unhygienic, with overflowing dustbins indicating the low priority accorded to hygiene by the hospital administration. Somebody needs to pay attention to the matter.

POWER CRISIS: The electricity crisis in Hunza is worsening by the day despite the approval of 54MW hydro-power plant on Attabad Lake. While the residents have their own worries, it is the tourism sector which is the most affected by the crisis, which means the livelihood of the locals is on the line. The matter needs urgent attention.

DEBIT CARD: Banks charge fee for issuing credit/debit cards to the account holders locally, which is against international practices. Cards actually reduce the load of the banks and allow them to operate with fewer staff. The State Bank of Pakistan should check what is the logic behind charging fee apart from making profits by hook or by crook.
