HYDERABAD: Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho on Thursday paid a visit to the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro and inaugurated a newly-constructed academic block of Bilawal Medical College.

Syndicate member Qasim Siraj, LUMHS vice chancellor, health secretary Dr Kazim Jatoi and other officers were present on the occasion.

Dr Pechuho also inaugurated family planning and medical departments, surgical intensive care unit (ICU), nephrology and lithotripsy machines.

Dr Pechuho termed Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) Hyderabad a state-of-the-art hospital of Sindh. She praised the performance of the medical superintendent and the administration director in bringing the hospital at par with the best health facilities of Sindh.

Dr Azra Pechuho had visited the LUH hospital Hyderabad/Jamshoro to help improve its performance.

An official said that due to special focus of the Sindh government, the hospital had improved its services and efforts were in progress for setting up more departments there.
