KARACHI: The Sindh government has started radio broadcast in three major cities for the awareness of farmers of the province.

Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Agriculture Manzoor Hussain Wassan told Dawn on Friday that radio broadcasting had been started in Hyderabad, Larkana and Khairpur.

One hour of broadcasting would be regarding awareness on weather conditions while topics of water and cultivation of suitable crops would also be discussed on radio, he added.

Mr Wassan said the provincial agriculture department had started a programme in Tharparkar, Umerkot and Mithi districts to control

food shortage and cultivate vegetables for the deserving class.
