MANSEHRA: Three women and two children of a family were killed and two others sustained critical injuries when a speeding car overturned on the Hazara Expressway in Potha area here on Friday evening.

The car hit the roadside wall and overturned after the driver failed to control the vehicle. The car was on way to Khaki area from Rawalpindi.

A motorway police squad rushed to the spot and shifted the dead and the injured to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad.

The deceased were identified Aqila Bibi, Nabeela Bibi, Fareeda Bibi, Mohammad Aziz and Mohammad Adil.

Separately, elders of Akazai tribe of Torghar district have refuted the allegations of destroying the standing crops of their rival Gujjar tribe.

Speaking at a presser in Oghi here, they said they would welcome a police probe and punishment to those involved in such propaganda.

“The disputed land has been our property since centuries and we cannot allow anybody to make baseless claims of its ownership,” said an elder.
