QUETTA: Corps Commander, Quetta, Lt Gen Sarfraz Ali, on Monday laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-i-Shuhada to pay homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the defence of the motherland.
He offered Fateha for the Shuhada and also attended a reception given in honour of the families of the martyrs.
Gen Ali said that the “sacrifices of the martyrs are a golden chapter in the history of Pakistan and their supreme sacrifice for the motherland will never be forgotten”.
A large number of Shuhada families and civil and military officials attended the ceremony.
