ISLAMABAD: Four people succumbed to Covid-19 in Islamabad and Rawalpindi districts whereas 512 new cases emerged on Tuesday.
Positivity ratio in the capital was 6.4pc and it stood at 7.01pc in Pindi district.
Official of the capital administration said two male patients (60-69) and an elderly female patient (70-79) died in the capital besides Tasleem Kausar, 44, brought to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) from Pindi district.
During the last 24 hours 4,547 tests were conducted for detection of the virus, they said, adding out of the total 293 people were tested positive.
So far 101,249 residents of the capital have contracted the virus and 94,133 recovered.
Furthermore, 244 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the disease.
In Rawalpindi district, there are 2,300 active patients; 207 are in hospitals including 80 who arrived from other districts and 2,093 patients are home isolated.
As many as 58 patients are from cantonment areas, 21 from city areas, 62 from Potohar Town, 22 patients arrived in district hospitals from Kallar Syedan, 15 from Kotli Sattian, one from Murree, 12 from Kahuta, four each from Gujar Khan and Taxila. Six patients arrived from Islamabad, five from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), four from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two from Chakwal and one each from Jhelum, Gujrat and Mianwali.
As many as 207 Covid-19 patients are admitted in city hospitals including 32 in Holy Family Hospital, 45 in Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH), 83 in Rawalpindi Institute of Urology (RIU), three in District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, 32 in Fauji Foundation Hospital (FFH), six in Bilal Hospital, three in Hearts International Hospital, one in Attock Hospital and two in Begum Akhter Sultana Trust Hospital.
There are eight patients on ventilators in Rawalpindi, 86 are on oxygen support and 113 are stable.
