RAWALPINDI: Police have detained 38 people on charges of torturing and threatening two transgender persons.

The suspects allegedly forcibly entered the victims’ home in Dhoke Kala Khan and injured them.

Mohammad Sajid complained to Airport police that he along with his companions Aqeel Sana alias Meri, Mohammad Ali alias Alina have been residing in their house for the last 10 years.

He said they were at home when all of a sudden around 41 people forcibly broke into their house after breaking the lock.

They locked their house from outside to remain safe inside as people teased them.

The intruders tortured them, held them up at gunpoint and threatened them of dire consequences.

The complainant alleged that besides these people, 70 to 75 others have also tried to rape them despite being told that they were not involved in such activities and were only performers.
