SIALKOT, Nov 7: The federal government has decided to set up two computer training centres — one each in Sialkot and Gujranwala — for the industrial workers and their children.
Official sources said here on Monday the step was being taken keeping in view the importance of human resource and wide range export activities of both the cities.
They said the Ministry of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis has also initiated a multi-pronged plan costing Rs90 million for the welfare of the workers.
The government was concentrating on resolving the problems of industrial workers and has already taken many revolutionary steps, they added.
They said the government has decided to export skilled labour to Europe, Malaysia and Middle East to meet their demand of manpower.
For this purpose, the government had decided to impart training to the industrial workers in different trades, they added.
