TAXILA: Three officials of the Attock revenue department including a naib tehsildar were arrested for their alleged involvement in illegal transfer of land worth millions of rupees belonging to a local land owner by tampering with the official record.

According to sources in the Attock anti-corruption department, a case was registered against the nominated accused under sections 420/468/471 PPC and 5/2/47 Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA) at anti-corruption police station Attock on March 12, 2019.

Investigations found all the three officials of the revenue department fraudulently transferring the land.

Attock circle officer of Anti-Corruption Establishment Sanaullah under the supervision of Nisar Ahmed Joiya magistrate arrested the officials.

College girl abducted

A van driver allegedly abducted a college girl within the limits of Taxila police station on Tuesday.

Father of the girl reported to police that his 17-year-old daughter was going to her college in the van when she was abducted.
