Scooby-Doo and his friends have been enthralling the viewers for over 50 years, and they show no signs of slowing down. The Mystery Machine has been a part of many viewers’ childhood, most of whom are now parents themselves, and whose kids also love the animated series and films.

The clock stops when one is watching Scooby Doo. But what if the clock is turned back? Yes, this is what the latest animated film Scooby-Doo: The Sword and the Scoob does.

The gang travels to London, where a Camelot festival is going to be held. Shaggy’s DNA shows that he is a direct descendant of Sir Norville from the Middle Ages. Before things could move ahead, the gang is transported back to the age of valiant knights, booby-trapped corridors, witches and wizards, as well as King Arthur and Merlin the Magician.

Shaggy accidentally releases Excalibur, when he is looking for a sharp instrument to cut Super Shaggy Sandwich, and here is when chaos erupts.

The legendary wizard Merlin seizes this moment to have his own version of ‘Laff-A-Lympics’ where our heroes must win the tournament to find their way back to the present. Usually, Fred emerges as the hero and Velma as the brain, but in this latest adventure, it’s Daphne who shines, but only after Shaggy is abducted. Yes, you read that right, because usually, it’s the other way around, when Daphne is taken away and Shaggy and Scooby goof around.

King Arthur, who in the beginning was fighting Shaggy, joins the gang and together they all plan the rescue. While famous actor Jason Isaacs voices the legendary king, the rest of the cast features Matthew Lillard as Shaggy Rogers who earlier played Shaggy in the live-action flicks, besides Grey Griffin as Daphne Blake, Kate Micucci as Velma Dinkley, and Frank Welker as both Fred Jones and Scooby-Doo.

Watch out for the special tribute to the original creators of Scooby-Doo, the famous duo of Joe Ruby- Ken Spears who came up with the idea in the late 60s. With a medieval backdrop, fire-breathing dragons, and Scooby-Doo, there is fun and laughter every minute.

To find out how Mystery Inc. stops an evil sorceress who tries to seize power in Camelot and how King Arthur reacts at the defeat of his knights, one must watch Scooby-Doo: The Sword and the Scoob.
