ISLAMABAD: One person succumbed to Covid-19 in Islamabad district whereas 38 new cases were reported on Wednesday with the positivity ratio recorded at 1.1pc.
Officials of the capital administration said the deceased was a male patient in his 40s.
During the last 24 hours 3,453 tests were conducted. A total of 11 cases were reported in the age group of 30-39, followed by eight from 50-59, six from 20-29, four each from 0-9 and 60-69, and one each from 10-19 and 80 and above.
Likewise, four cases were reported from Lohi Bher, followed by three from G-8, two each from Bhara Kahu, G-9, G-7 and G-13, and one each from G-10, Tarlai, F-11, Alipur, F-8, F-7, Kurri, Koral, Chirrah, Model Town, G-12 and F-15, the officials said, adding addresses of 11 cases were not known.
Meanwhile, as per data shared by the District Health Authority, the positivity ratio of Covid-19 cases in Rawalpindi district increased from 1.2pc to 2.1pc on Wednesday and 25 people were diagnosed with the disease.
A total of 1,177 samples were collected out of which 1,152 were declared negative whereas 43 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery during the last 24 hours.
In Rawalpindi district, there are 472 active patients. As many as 71 patients are in hospitals including 32 who arrived from other districts and 401 patients are home isolated.
As many as 10 patients arrived from cantonment areas, two from Potohar Town and six from Rawal Town. Three patients belonged to Gujar Khan and two patients arrived from Taxila. One patient each arrived from Chakwal and Islamabad.
Eight patients were admitted in Holy Family Hospital (HFH), 23 in Benazir Bhutto Hospital, 28 patients in Rawalpindi Institute of Urology (RIU), 11 in Fauji Foundation Hospital and one patient in Bilal Hospital.
There are two patients on ventilators in Rawalpindi, 29 are on oxygen support and 40 are stable.
