SWABI: An employee of the education department was killed by his rivals when he wason wayto school for duty on Thursday, said officials of Chota Lahor police station.

Registering an FIR, Aqib Khan told police that he along with his father Gul Rahim Khan and uncle Humayoon Khan were on way to Kunda village where his father worked as a peon in a government school. He said when they reached near the graveyard, Ibrar Khan, Usman Khan and Rahim Khan appeared and started firing on them.

Aqib said that as a result of the firing his father was killed on the spot. He alleged that their house had been occupied by the suspects. The police registered an FIR and have started investigation.

In the second incident, a man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a tractor trolley on Swabi-Mardan road near Shewa Adda.

The victim’s body was placed in the THQ hospital for identification and his picture was shard on social media because there was nothing with him about his identity.

NANBAIS’ STRIKE: The nanbais of Razaar tehsil continued their strike on the second consecutive day here on Thursday while demanding that price of roti (bread) should be doubled from the present Rs10 per piece.

Tandoors Association, Razaar tehsil, has declared that they were not in a position to bear more losses due to high cost of wheat flour.
