LOWER DIR: A child was killed and nine others, including three women, were injured when a passenger van plunged into a ravine in Kaso Laram area of Ouch here on Sunday.
Residents said the vehicle carrying women and children was part of a wedding party.
The deceased child was identified as Mu’awiya, 5, who died on the spot.
The injured included Yaseen, 8, Lubna, 6, Saad Khan, 4, Annan Khan, 8, Hajira, 12, Shahid, 14, and three women aged 32, 24 and 35.
The injured were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Chakdara.
The Ouch police started investigations after registering a case.
