LAHORE: The Greater Iqbal Park harassment case took another twist when a new alleged audio call of Aysha Ikram and her arrested partner Amir Sohail alias Rambo got leaked and went viral on social media.

In the alleged mobile phone audio call leak, both of them were discussing some options to blackmail the suspects in Ayesha’s case for money.

Ayesha had got a case lodged with the Lorry Adda police station a few days after she was physically assaulted at Minar-i-Pakistan on the Independence Day.

The case was lodged against nearly 400 people/suspects besides nominating some of them in the later stage of the investigation into the case.

In the alleged audio leak, Ayesha was heard saying she had identified six suspects during the course of investigation.

She unveiled her plan to get Rs600,000 from each of them to declare them innocent in her case and asked Rambo to give his opinion in this respect.

According to the audio leak, Rambo told her that the suspects mostly belonged to poor families and would be unable to pay the said amount. On this, Ayesha suggested him to decide Rs500,000 against each case.

A police official said: “We have decided forensic analysis of the audio leak and further action will be taken on the basis of the reports.”

He said the police also got another audio call recording of Rambo when he was hurling threats at Ayesha to leak her many ‘objectionable’ video clips. Recently, the police had arrested Rambo and seven other suspects after Ayesha Ikram changed her pervious statement and alleged that they were behind the harassment incident.
