LAHORE: PML-N Lahore president MNA Pervaiz Malik was laid to rest at a local graveyard here on Tuesday.

Mr Malik passed away on Monday. He was 74.

According to his son Ali Pervaiz, his father had been ill for sometime and died of a sudden heart attack.

A good number of PML-N leaders, workers and other people attended the funeral.

PML-N leaders Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Punjab Assembly Speaker Parvez Elahi and others visited Mr Malik’s residence.

“Bid Pervez Malik a goodbye. An amazing human being, a trusted colleague and a loyal party leader, he stood by Nawaz Sharif all his life, no matter what. Farewell my friend. May Allah be kind to you,” Shehbaz said in a tweet.
