RAWALPINDI:As many as 12 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the district of Rawalpindi and 16 patients were discharged from hospitals after their recovery in the last 24 hours.

The positivity rate in the district remained 1.5pc. Total 825 samples were collected and 12 of them tested positive.

There are 193 active patients in the district - 35 in hospitals and 158 home isolated.

Officials said five patients each arrived from cantonment areas and Potohar Town and one each from the city areas and Kahuta.

As many as 35 patients were admitted in the city hospitals - one patient in Holy Family Hospital, 11 in Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH), 21 in Rawalpindi Institute of Urology (RIU) and two in Fauji Foundation Hospital (FFH).

There is one patient on a ventilator, 18 are on oxygen and 16 are stable.
