TAXILA: The deputy commissioner of Attock on Tuesday announced a local holiday in the district on Thursday (Oct 28) on account of the annual Urs (death anniversary) of renowned Sufi saint Hazrat Sakhi Sultan in Attock Khurd.
All government offices and educational institutions under the administrative control of the district government, except essential services, will remain closed on Thursday.
DC Imran Hamid Sheikh issued a notification which stated that as per the records maintained, the Urs was held every year which was why a holiday had been announced.
