KARACHI: The Board of Secondary Education, Karachi (BSEK) has announced the results of the much-awaited Secondary School Certificate (SSC), or Matric Part-II, Science exams for 2021 on Friday.

Some 156,287 students had initially registered for the exam and 148,940 students appeared in the exams. The passing percentage was 98.48. Around 2,263 students failed to appear in both the papers while 7,347 missed one paper. Those who appeared in both papers included 84,945 boys and 71,342 girls.

The number of students who passed with an ‘A-1’ grade was 41,476 while 24,977 passed with an ‘A’ grade. Meanwhile, 23,754 passed with a ‘B’ grade, 23,213 passed with a ‘C’ grade, 22,444 got ‘D’ and 10,204 got ‘E’ grade.

With so many students impatiently trying access the BSEK website to find out their results all at once overwhelmed the system, which crashed. But the problem was fixed soon enough followed by celebration and distribution of sweets in many homes where the children had bagged good grades.

Inter general science results out

The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi (BIEK) on Friday announced the results for their XII General Science group students.

According to the details, 3,759 students registered for the exam of whom 3,738 appeared. Those who passed numbered 3,564 bringing up a 95.35 passing percentage. The number of students who passed with an ‘A-1’ grade was 498 while 494 passed with a ‘A’ grade.

Meanwhile, 778 passed with a ‘B’ grade, 958 passed with a ‘C’ grade, 77 got ‘D’ and 99 got ‘E’.
