MULTAN: Gold medals and degrees were awarded to 1,768 students in the third convocation of the Women University, Multan, here on Saturday.

For the first time, degrees were awarded to eight PhD scholars, including Dr Sadia Bashir, Dr Sana Riaz, Dr Nazia Suleiman, Dr Mamoona Yaseem, Dr Fatima Ali, Dr Hira Ali, Dr Uzma Siddique, and Dr Sonia Iqbal. Medals were given to 64 students.

Earlier, VC Dr Quraishi said the university had tested smart classrooms during Covid -19 and was able to continue its teaching activities.

She said the Punjab government had released Rs200 million for various projects, including labs.
