RAWALPINDI; The authorities have replaced regional police officer (RPO) and city police officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, days after life in the garrison city came to normality after closure of major roads of the city due to the proscribed Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) march to Islamabad.

Despite activists of the proscribed organisation still on the streets in Wazirabad, a major reshuffle of the police was done on Thursday.

According to a notification, Imran Ahmar, a PSP/BS-20 was transferred and posted as RPO Gujranwala with immediate effect against an existing vacancy.

Ashfaq Ahmad Khan, (PSP/BS-20) was transferred from Sargodha and posted as RPO Rawalpindi region. Mohammad Ahsan Younas, PSP/BS-20 was transferred and posted as deputy inspector general of police in Lahore with immediate effect while retired Captain Mohammad Sohail (PSP/BS-20) was transferred to Rawalpindi.
