DILAPIDATED ROADS

DILAPIDATED ROADS: A number of important roads in Karachi are in a dilapidated condition that causes road accidents and traffic jams throughout the day, particularly in peak hours. The commuters face a lot of problems and struggle to reach their respective destinations in time. It is also annoying that even when some repair and maintenance work is undertaken, which is a rarity, the roads present an ugly look not much later owing to the ever worsening drainage issues. The government should realise the gravity of the situation and initiate remedial steps.

IRRESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOUR: We are regular viewers of Ertugrul on PTV Home. On Friday, Oct 29, episode 37 of season 5 was due to be aired, but, for unknown reasons, episode 2 was re-telecast. No explanation was given and nobody at the TV station seemed to have caught the mistake. Such irresponsible behaviour is unacceptable, to say the least.

ELECTRICITY BILLS: I am a student at the University College Zhob. Being the only male, I have been carrying the financial responsibilities of the entire household since my father passed away three years ago. I have not been able to pay the electricity bills (Consumer ID: 1480390847) for some time because of the rising expenditure amid back-breaking inflation. The current electricity arrears are worth over Rs60,000. Can the authority concerned find a way to help me wriggle out of my tight spot?

POWER BLUES: The power supply situation in Latifabad Unit 11 of Hyderabad is getting worse by the day. The transformer installed in the area remained dysfunctional recently, and the area residents had to collect Rs1,000 from each household to get things moving. The authorities concerned should look into the matter as the situation in the area is going from bad to worse.
