CHITRAL: A young man from Kessu village of Lower Chitral died after falling from a cliff here on Sunday morning.

An official of Rescue 1122 identified the deceased as Safdar Dastgir, 30, whose body was shifted to the village by a rescue team. He said the rescuers had to face hardships in reaching the gorge to collect the body.

Meanwhile, parents have demanded of the government to fill the posts of teachers of science subjects in the Government Girls College, Chitral.

Talking to reporters on Sunday, Zafar Alam, Said Ghani, Ashraf Gul and others said the posts of lecturers had been lying vacant for long, badly affecting the studies of their daughters.

They said experienced teachers were required for different subjects in BS programme.
