LAHORE: Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Hasaan Khawar has indicated that the Punjab government will take action against all those, who have been accused of committing irregularities in NA-75 by-election in Daska.

The by-election inquiry report is now with the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Speaking at a news conference here on Sunday, Mr Khawar said the rigging complaints could only be removed by introducing election reforms and added that the opposition was afraid of reforms as it always wanted to steal elections.

Responding to PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s presser, the Punjab government spokesman said comprehensive election reforms was always on the agenda of the PTI government.

He also advised the opposition to resign from the parliament, if it wanted to do politics and protests on roads.
