HYDERABAD: Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan emir Senator Sirajul Haq has said that there is no difference between Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf as both follow dictates of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and believe in status quo.
Sindh remained under occupation of feudal lords, jagirdars and corrupt capitalists, who switched their loyalties on the basis of profit and loss, said Haq at a programme organised by Solangi community in Hala Naka on Sunday evening. The community’s chieftain Sardar Zubair Khan Solangi announced joining JI on the occasion.
He said that feudal lords joined PPP, PML-N and Pervez Musharraf’s party to be able to occupy or further tighten their grip on Sindh and continue to play with lives and honour of the poor.
He said that an MPA of PPP had allegedly killed Nazim Jokhio in a brutal manner but he was not alone there were many like him who attacked the ‘honour’ of the poor daily in the country. Murder of Jokhio in Malir, Karachi showed that there was jungle’s law in Sindh, he said.
He said that PPP and Asif Zardari should take notice of Jokhio’s murder. Entire nation was supporting the victims. PPP had been ruling Sindh since 1970 but it never served justice with people of the province where poverty had increased whereas assets of PPP’s men had multiplied, he said.
He maintained that National Accountability Bureau remained silent on allegations against PTI. Names of PPP and PML-N leaders had also surfaced in Pandora and Panama leaks, he said.
He questioned Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s statement about revolution and said how could his government, which failed to ensure cleanliness in Larkana, bring about revolution in Karachi and Hyderabad.
He said that PPP government could not even provide clean drinking water to people. PPP had been ruling Sindh for past 13 years but it had never delivered justice to people, poverty was increasing and cities had turned into heaps of garbage.
Haq said that the parties, which had ruled the country several times, were again seeking vote from people. They had destroyed economy and forced educated youth to flee from the country, he said.
He said that Pakistan was ruled by generals, jagirdars and corrupt capitalists but now people should provide a chance to JI. Sindh JI emir Mohammad Hussain Mehnati, Pir Ghulam Mujaddid Sarhandi, Afaq Solangi also spoke on the occasion.
