DADU: Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that after having committed mega corruption in public funds, Pakistan Peoples Party rulers have grown so audacious they are killing innocent and hapless citizens with complete impunity and without fear of law.

It was high time he exposed true faces of the corrupt and the killer coterie, who had been sucking the blood of poor people and terrorising citizens for the past 13 years, said Sheikh said at a news conference here on Monday.

He said that he would try to his level best to expose their corruption and fascist acts at all forums and raise voice against the murder of innocent people at the hands of PPP lawmakers in Malir and Qambar districts.

Sheikh, who is also central vice president of PTI, said: “PPP MPA Ghanwar Khan Isran along with his father Ghulam Shaheed Isran led an attack on a poor family in Qambar district and killed Fahmida Siyal while MPA Jam Owais murdered a social worker Nazim Jokhio without any provocation. We strongly condemn both the incidents,” he said.

He demanded immediate arrest of the lawmakers and said that both the incidents would prove last nail in the coffin of the corrupt PPP rule in Sindh. The corrupt leaders had committed massive corruption in every department and turned it into ruins, he said.

“Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Murad Ali Shah and their cronies are only interested in minting money by hook or by crook,” he said.

Later, Sheikh led a delegation of party leaders left for Qambar to condole death of Fahmida Siyal who was killed in indiscriminate firing by PPP lawmaker, his father and others.

Larkana

Sheikh, accompanied by party leaders and lawmakers, visited Khairpur Juso village, 15 kilometres from here, and offered condolence to the bereaved family of late Fahmida Siyal, mother of two children, who was shot dead in an attack on their house on Nov 3 allegedly by Shaheed Hussain Isran, father of PPP MPA Ghanwar Khan Isran. The victims alleged that Israns had attacked the house, killed Fahmida and injured Amir Siyal.

Member Sindh Assembly Raja Azhar, president of PTI Sukkur region Syed Tahir Shah, Dr Masroor Siyal, Samiullah Abro and Umme Rubab accompanied the opposition leader during the visit.

Sheikh told media persons that Fahmida Siyal was allegedly murdered inside her home by Shaheed Hussain Isran, father of the PPP MPA Ghanwar Khan Isran, in the presence of local police.

He said that Isran family wanted to usurp houses and land of the poor Siyal family. First, they got male members of the family abducted through police and then ambushed their home and killed Fahmida Siyal. A nephew of the murdered woman was also abducted for recording video of the inhuman incident, he said.

He vowed to fight the case of Fahmida Siyal and referred to the case of Umme Rubab Chandio who had set an example of tireless struggle against Sardari system and urged the Siyal family to stand firm against intimidation and coercion by cruel sardars and never accept any jirga.

Four suspects held

Qambar-Shahdadkot police claimed to have arrested four out five suspects — Tasawwur Isran, Aziz aka Major Isran, Talib Hussain Laar and Saifullah Shahani — nominated in the FIR, said sources.

Police obtained four days remand of the suspects four the court of civil judge and judicial magistrate Qambar.
