RAWALPINDI: Station Commander Brigadier Salman Nazar on Thursday asked cantonment boards of Rawalpindi and Chaklala to facilitate the residents while improving the civic facilities without any delay.

In a joint meeting of RCB and CCB, Station Commander Brigadier Salman Nazar who is also president of both the civic bodies facilities were being provided to visitors of main markets and bazaars, besides ending the encroachments.

He said encroachments would be removed from roads and footpaths.

He said people would be convinced to utilise free parking space on Haider Road and The Mall.

He said the drinking water facility to be provided to all the residents of the cantonment areas.

He said the civic body should pay attention to improving the infrastructure.

He said the top priority of the garrison authorities was to provide best civic facilities to the civilian population in cantonment areas.

Apart from this, the station commander said that the civic body would pay attention on green belts and flower planting in the cantonment areas.

He said that there was need to restore the annual flower show.

He urged the officials and the staff to improve their services.

Referring to the bazaar, he said the civic bodies had done a lot for the betterment which is commendable but there is always room for improvement.
