KARACHI: Two men were shot dead in a Korangi area on Saturday, police said.

They said that Khurram Khan, 35, and an unidentified man, appears to be in his 40s, were targetted at a mechanic shop in C-Area.

Awami Colony SHO Safdar Mashwani said that it appeared that the real target of the killers was the unidentified person.

He said that apparently armed pillion riders were chasing the man who was passing through the area by foot. As he took shelter at the Khurram’s auto shop, the assailant also entered there, opened fire and escaped.

As a result, they both suffered bullet wounds and were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), where they died during treatment.

The area SHO suspected some personal enmity behind the incident.

Investigators collected two spent bullet casings fired from a .30-bore pistol from the crime scene.
