Cultural festivals reflect a nation’s values: CM’s aide

GUJAR KHAN: Cultural festivals reflect values of a nation and play a pivotal role in promotion of the tourism industry.

This was stated by Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Tourism Asif Mehmood at a cultural and tourism festival held in Ghaziot area of Sohawa on Sunday.

A traditional bull race competition was held by the Tourism Development Cooperation Punjab and the district administration. The event was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Nauman Hafeez, MPA Yawar Kamal and others.

Mr Mehmood said the government was keen on promoting tourism, cultural sports and activities. It is working on developing tourism infrastructure in Jhelum which is rich in cultural heritage, he said.
