KASUR: Mustafabad police on Thursday lodged a case against a suspect who allegedly shot dead his wife, a daughter, a nephew and a village barber in the name of honour on Wednesday at Satoki village.

A customer who was getting his beard shaved also suffered injuries.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the IG police. The suspect, later, fled with two of his unidentified accomplices, says a first information report. Police is yet to arrest any of the suspects.

Complainant Muhammad Iqbal said his son-in-law Yasin suspected the character of his wife Mumtaz Bibi, daughter Sonia Bibi and nephew Waqas.

The suspect, after an exchange of harsh words, shot at Mumtaz and Sonia, killing them on the spot. Later, the suspect rushed to the nearby village barber shop of Muhammad Ilyas where Waqas was sitting. He opened fire, injuring Waqas, Ilyas and customer Asif.

Waqas and Ilyas succumbed to their injuries instantly while Asif was rushed to DHQ hospital where he is stated to be stable.

Kasur DPO Sohaib Ashraf has formed teams for the arrest of the suspects.
