With the academic year in full swing, you may be getting assignments quite frequently, and in recent times, things have modernised quite a lot compared to the way things were sometime back. Assignments given today require a variety of content, from different resources like digital media, evidence, record and timelines. Sometimes assignments are based on specific battles in history or a map of significant scientific discoveries, the works of various writers, artists, or musicians while tracking their timelines.
At such times, you want a magic wand to work instead of you. Although I do not have a magic wand to help you out, I do have a site to assist you in making a wonderful timeline if this is what you are required to do. The site is called time.graphics — a timeline creator that offers tools to create interactive timelines where you can include video, images and maps.
To begin with, open the site and create your account. The site is not difficult to work with, so once you sign up, you will see an empty timeline on the screen. Choose ‘New Event’ by clicking the tab at the top left side of the screen. You will get various options to choose from, like events, time, period, percentage, statistics, all countries data and many others to add to your timeline. After adding an event, a panel or the dashboard on the right side opens. Here you can add title, information, description, beginning and ending dates, pictures, videos and much more. Other options in the dashboard include settings to change the look of the marker, colour and size of the text on the timeline.
Once you are done with your timeline, save it. Although there are other options, the free account only allows saving timelines as public. So after saving your timeline, use the provided URL to share or copy the embed code to include on a website or blog.
It will take some time for you to become comfortable with creating a timeline on this site, but once created, no one can stop you from becoming a pro. So to create timelines for your school projects or personal timelines of family events taking place in a specific time, Time Graphics is just perfect to work with!
