DADU, Nov 18: The anti-corruption committee-II (ACC-II) has decided to register corruption cases against four officials of food and agriculture departments, prosecute seven education officials and hold departmental inquiries against 60 officials of different departments of the district, here on Friday.
The meeting of the ACC-II was presided over by its chairman, Aijaz Ahmed Mangi, who is also the DCO of Dadu.
Members of the committee, including the SSP of anti-corruption, Hyderabad, Malik Mulazim Hussain, and EDOs of education, health, agriculture, EDO works and services, DPO operation, the SP investigation, attended the meeting.
The circle officer of anti-corruption police, Dadu, inspector Zakir Hussain Samo, submitted details to the committee for approval of cases and challans.
The committee approved registration of cases against the assistant director SASO Dadu, Hubdar Abbasi, sales inspector Ghulam Nabi Solangi for misappropriation in the purchase of pesticides in the year 2003.
The committee decided to challan accountant Sikandar Ali Chandio, DO education elementary, supervisor Dhani Bux Chandio, PSTs Ashraf Junejo, Shabbir Ahmed Sario and senior clerk Mohammad Qasim for preparing fake bills of difference and salaries of teachers.
The committee also decided to challan a misappropriation case in which assistants of ADEO male office, Mohammad Bachal Khoso and Abdul Shakoor Panhwar were alleged to have embezzled Rs473,000 through bogus bills.
The committee also approved to register case against the district food controller Dadu, Qutbuddin Tayyabani and head clerk Gulshan Solangi for embezzlement of Rs3.2 million in different heads during 2004.
The committee also approved registration of case against ASI Ghulam Sarwar Soomro of Dadu police for receiving illegal gratification.
The committee directed to conduct departmental inquiries against district officer fisheries, Gulsher Rahujo, sub-inspector Hakim Khoso, ASI Ghulam Sarwar Soomro, inspector Abdullah Unnar, sub-inspector Abdul Razzaq Chandio, ASI Mukhtiar Dero, ASI Mohammad Ismail Mallah, DSP Nasrullah Waria, sub-inspector Moula Bux Panhwar, excise and taxation officer Dadu, Mohammad Nawaz Mirani and 50 other officers of education, revenue, forest, police, health and food department for departmental inquiry.
It was decided that FIRs would be lodged against excise officers if they were found in extortion from the transporters.
