Dreamworks announces Trolls 3 for 2023

Dreamworks Animation’s Trolls franchise will continue with a third feature film, Trolls 3, set for release on November 17, 2023.

Dreamworks has yet to reveal any details about the film or its crew, but apparently Trolls 3 will be a theatrical exclusive for somewhere between 17-31 days, before becoming available as a premium video on demand (PVOD) title.

Inspired by the Danish toy franchise, Dreamworks’s take on the characters has resulted in not just feature films, but also two series — Trolls: The Beat Goes On! on Netflix and Trolls: Trollstopia on Hulu and Peacock — and the TV special Trolls Holiday.

Getting ready for James Webb Space Telescope launch

Nasa is loading fuel and oxidiser into the James Webb Space Telescope in the Guiana Space Centre, ahead of its scheduled December 22 launch.

The $9.7 billion telescope is the largest and most powerful telescope ever conceived.

The Webb telescope, a partnership among Nasa and the space agencies of Canada and Europe, will reveal new and unexpected knowledge about our universe.

The spacecraft bus will have 42 gallons of hydrazine and 21 gallons of dinitrogen tetroxide needed to fuel the mission’s 20 rocket thrusters.

The launch of the Webb telescope was delayed from December 18 to December 22 after managers ordered additional testing on the spacecraft.

Transformania trailer shows Johnny become a monster

The streaming service shared a trailer for the animated comedy featuring the voices of Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kathryn Hahn and Brian Hull.

The preview shows Johnny (Samberg) use Van Helsing’s Monsterification Ray to transform himself into a monster. The experiment goes wrong and Dracula (Hull) and his monster friends are also transformed into humans.

“Dracula and Johnny set out together to find a secret crystal that will help them turn back accordingly, while learning to rely on and appreciate each other along the way,” an official description reads.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania premieres on January 14, 2022, on Amazon Prime Video.
