LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid quarantined herself at home after testing positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday.

Health department spokesman Syed Hammad Raza Bukhari confirms that the Covid-19 test of Ms Rashid is positive.

He says she is taking necessary precautions and has placed herself under home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 185 people tested positive and one lost his life due to coronavirus in different areas of the province during the last 24 hours.

As many as 161 people contracted coronavirus in Lahore, seven in Rawalpindi, eight in Sialkot and three in Gujranwala.

The positivity ratio of the province stood at one per cent. Around 3,401 patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the province.

Primary and Secondary Healthcare Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch has appealed to the masses to get themselves administered Covid vaccine and ensure social distancing.

He said around 14,000,000 people were vaccinated in Punjab and around 26,700,000 more would be given jabs in the second phase.
