QUETTA: Five members of a family, three of them children, received burn injuries in a gas explosion at a house in the Baleli area on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday.

Police said that the explosion occurred due to accumulation of gas in the house in Killi Munaf followed by its leakage.

The three children and their mother and father were shifted to the burns ward of the Bolan Medical College hospital.

The victims were identified as one-year-old Bibi Omar, four-year-old Khalid Omar, 10-year-old Gul Lalai, Benazir Omar, 40, and Dad Mohammad Omar, 53.
