PESHAWAR: Two security personnel embraced martyrdom in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in three districts that resulted in the death of two militants and capture of three others, a statement issued by the military said.
The statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations said security forces conducted the IBO simultaneously in Tank, Dera Ismail Khan and Kot Kili village in South Waziristan on the reported presence of terrorists.
During an exchange of fire, it said, two militants were killed and three others captured. “Weapons and huge cache of ammunition, including improvised explosive devices and rockets, were also recovered from the terrorists,” it added.
“Sepoy Faridullah, 31, resident of Karak, and Sepoy Shuaib Hassan, 29, resident of Dera Ismail Khan, fought bravely inflicting casualties upon terrorists and embraced Shahadat during intense firefight,” it said.
