KASUR: Three people, two infants among them, were buried alive and six other people were injured in two roof collapse incidents which took place due to rain on Thursday.

The first incident took place at Qadirabad where the roof of a room collapsed when Zulfiqar and members of his family were asleep. Six-month-old Ahmed and two-year-old Malika Bibi died while Zulfiqar, his wife Fazeelat Bibi and three children Ali, Haider and Saima Bibi were injured and taken to the DHQ hospital for medical aid.

In another incident, a man died while another suffered injuries when the roof of the room they were sitting in caved in amid heavy spell of rain at Mustafabad. Muhammad Nawaz, 40, and Khalid Hussain, 30, were in the room when its roof collapsed.

Rescue 1122 officials took out the body of Nawaz from the debris and shifted injured Hussain to the DHQ hospital from where he was referred to a Lahore hospital in a critical condition.
