HARIPUR: A teenage boy was found dead in the forest of a remote village of union council Bagra while a man shot and injured his real brother over property dispute, police said here on Sunday.

Sera-i-Saleh police said that after receiving information, they recovered the body of a boy hanging from a tree in the forest area of Pajhwahla village.

The deceased was later identified as 17-year-old Luqman Khan, son of Razmat Khan. Police quoted Razmat Khan as saying that his son left home for nearby forest for cutting grass for the buffaloes but did not come back till late in the Saturday’s evening.

The family searched him at different places but failed to find any clue.

However, on Sunday morning some villagers found Luqman’s body hanging from a tree. The deceased’s father brushed aside the impression that his son was murdered as he had no enmity.

He told the police that he had scolded his son over some family matter on Saturday before his leaving for forest due to which he committed suicide. Police registered a case and started inquiry into the causes of death.

Meanwhile, a man shot and injured his real brother over property dispute in Pharhala village. The injured Mohammad Nasir told police in the hospital in injured condition that he had some property dispute with his brother Mohammad Khalid and both had been in litigation for the last few months.

He said that on Sunday afternoon he was standing outside his home when Khalid came and opened fire at him with 12 bore shotgun, injuring him critically.

The injured was later referred to Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad in critical condition.
