NAROWAL: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar’s plane landed at Sialkot airport when it could not land in Lahore from Islamabad due to bad weather there on Friday.
Making the most of the occasion, the chief minister inspected ongoing development projects in Sialkot and instructed the district administration to complete them on time without compromising the quality standards.
He said Rs250 million would be released for the construction of Sambrial Motorway to Kashmir Road.
The CM inspected the projects without any protocol. Deputy Commissioner Tahir Farooq drove his vehicle.
He reviewed sanitation and traffic arrangements in the city and issued orders to further improve the flow of traffic.
Mr Buzdar said development projects and issues of every city, including Sialkot, were being examined.
He directed the police to improve law and order by using all available resources. He said the trust level between the police and the people should be strengthened so that the citizens felt secure and safe.
The chief minister said he would continue visiting all district headquarters and cities of Punjab to take stock of the situation.
Besides the district administration, Provincial Minister Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq met the chief minister. Later, he left Sialkot for Lahore via motorway.
