Faisalabad trounce Pindi

KARACHI, Nov 23: As expected, Faisalabad outclassed Rawalpindi by a convincing margin of eight wickets on the penultimate day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Gold League match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Faisalabad made light work of a modest target of 155 as they romped home in only 38 overs with Mohammad Salman (79 with 10 fours) and skipper Misbahul Haq (50, nine fours) sharing an unbroken 113-run third-wicket stand.

Earlier, the hosts made 188 in the second innings after resuming at 97 or five. All-rounder Yasir Arafat made 46.

Ex-Test paceman Shahid Nazir took four for 44 to finish with a match haul of eight for 110.
