SWABI: A local welfare body has established a water filtration plant in the Women University Swabi to provide potable water to the staff and students.

Chaudhry Akhtar, head of Kashmir Orphans Relief Trust, and Vice-Chancellor Prof Shahana Urooj Kazmi inaugurated the plant on Saturday.

Mr Akthar and Prof Kazmi said the clean drinking water would help the staff and students stay protected from water-borne diseases.

Prof Kazmi said the nations focusing on health and education of young generation had progressed economically.

“Our concentration is on imparting quality education to the young women of the district and its periphery regions,” she said.
