LAHORE: PML-Q President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Husain says ex-premier Nawaz Sharif will not return to the country. In a statement, Mr Hussain has expressed his wonder as to why everyone was worried about Nawaz Sharif’s return and went on to share his personal opinion as, “No matter what, Nawaz Sharif will not return”. Saying that Mr Sharif may consider returning home if his party leadership will call him, the PML-Q chief said.
PML-N leader and former National Assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq, who had gone to London in December last and met the party supremo, had claimed that Mr Sharif would soon be returning home.
Mr Husain also chided the PTI government for spending more money on Nawaz Sharif’s case than it wanted to recover from him.

“The PTI government led by Imran Khan should get out of its sole dream to get Nawaz Sharif back and instead pay attention to the solution to public issues. This is high time that the government worked and performed for the welfare of people,” he said.
The PML-Q president regretted that the ruling party leaders were busy pulling each other’s legs and would soon see the consequences for themselves. He also regretted that the party leaders were not talking about people’s issues. There is hue and cry about inflation everywhere but no one is giving any idea to control it.
“If any party or leader gives a positive plan in the parliament to end inflation, I will ask all my members of the assembly to listen to him,” he said.
The PML-Q president’s concerns had also been voiced within the ruling party as Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar recently spoke on record that his party (PTI) needed to make its house in order by overcoming disconnect among leaders, parliamentarians and workers and called for controlling inflation and ensure robust public delivery to serve masses.
