ISLAMABAD, Nov 25: Justice Rana Baghwandas, the senior most judge of the Supreme Court after Chief Justice of Pakistan, will take oath as the acting CJP here on Saturday. Justice Javed Iqbal will administer oath in a ceremony scheduled to be held at 9:15am in the ceremonial hall of the Supreme Court.

The oath-taking ceremony will be attended by judges of the Supreme Court, law officers, advocates and advocates on records, besides senior officers of the Supreme Court.

Justice Rana Baghwandas will perform his duties as the acting CJP during the absence of Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry who is proceeding abroad to attend a conference.—APP
