A chicken experience

This is with reference to the article “A chicken experience” by Shamoun Ghori (YW, January 8). It was a wonderful article, showcasing the experiment of the writer. It shows that being persistent in doing anything often has a positive result and therefore boosts our confidence.

I appreciate the contributor for sharing a wonderful experience with us and also the YW team for publishing unique stuff for its young readers.

The blue skates

This is regarding the story “The blue skates” by Mahnoor Rehan (YW, January 1). I enjoyed reading the story, which seems to reflect the essence of the saying, ‘In times of test, family is the best.’

Clearly, if Kaylin hadn’t worked fast enough, Irina’s win wouldn’t have been possible. In addition, the story also reflected the strong bond between the siblings, despite all the fights between them. The girls still supported each other. The story also gives us a lesson that we should always appreciate each other’s successes.

My voice matters

This is with reference to the article “My voice matters” by Wajia Fatima (YW, January 8). The writer highlighted the courage required to speak up for oneself.

No doubt, it is our fault if we don’t speak up against violence, abuse and things happening in this society on a daily basis. Women are mostly thought of being “not good” if they speak up for themselves, but that’s not true. In fact, if you don’t speak up, it means you’re okay with all the wrongdoings happening with you or around you.

So no matter what others say, let them say, always stand for yourself against wrong things, so that someone else doesn’t have to suffer.

The blame game

This is with reference to the story “The blame game” by Linta Mustafa (YW, January 8). It was an interesting story with a moral. We always blame others if we do something wrong.

Let’s admit that we don’t have the courage to accept that we can also be wrong. We don’t realise how others feel when they are blamed for the mistakes they have not committed.

Accepting your mistakes is bravery. Allah Almighty loves those who accept their faults. I appreciate the YW team for publishing amazing reading material for readers, which gives them good lessons about life.
