LAHORE: An unbeaten century by Faham-ul-Haq helped Central Punjab Whites beat Northern Whites by 49 runs in the National U-16 Championships as three matches each in U-16 and U-13 championships were decided in Multan and Karachi on Saturday.

Faham, the son of former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq, struck 102 off 144 balls as CP piled up 246 for four in the stipulated 45 overs at the Head Mohammadwala Ground, Multan.

In reply, Northern Whites were bundled out for 197 in 44 overs with Hasnain (88) and Shamir Nisar (32) being the top scorers. Ali Hassan (4-22), Ali Hassan Baloch (3-28) were the main wicket-takers.

At Zwari ground, Multan, Southern Punjab crushed Balochistan by 86 runs.

Batting first, SP posted 220-3 in their 45 overs with main contributions from Mohammad Farhan (83) and Ali Hasnain (95).

In response, Balochistan could make a poor 134 all out in 35.3 overs as Shahzad claimed (4-28) was the wrecker-in-chief.

At Multan Cricket Stadium, KP earned a 82-run victory against Sindh. Chasing 248, Sindh could only reach 165-9 in the allotted 45 overs. In Under-13, South Punjab, KP and Central Punjab won their matches in Karachi.--Sports Reporter.
