Balochistan approves health card scheme

QUETTA: The Balochistan cabinet on Tuesday approved the launch of health card scheme, registration of peasants and providing them with Kissan card and starting recruitment on vacant posts on merit from grade three to 15 through departmental committees.

The cabinet meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo.

Provincial Minister for Communications and Works Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, along with Parliamentary Secretary on Information Bushra Rind, briefed the media about the cabinet’s decisions.

He said the cabinet had decided to take action against authorities concerned for filling vacancies against rules and regulations in different departments.

He said the cabinet had approved the Local Government Amendment Act, reinstated 361 suspended employees of C&W department and recruitment on vacant posts from grade 3 to 15 through departmental committees.

The cabinet also approved provision of development funds for constituencies of opposition members.

The cabinet approved amendments to the Land Review Act, 1967; e-Stamp Roll, 2021; and Balochistan Fisheries Rules, 1971.

The draft of the Balochistan Forest Act, 2021, aimed at ensuring protection of forests and wildlife, was also approved.

A draft bill for industrial development and Balochistan Archaeology Rules, 2021, was also approved.

An increase in the carriage contract fee for freight vehicles under the Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1965, was approved.
