HARIPUR: A teacher of the University of Haripur (UoH) has won Comstech Young Researcher Award 2021, according to a statement issued from the registrar’s office here on Tuesday.

Comstech awards are conferred biennially in ‘Basic Sciences’ and in ‘Excellence in Science and Technology’ to recognise the outstanding research work carried out by scientists, who are citizens of and working in the members states of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.

UoH Vice-Chancellor Prof Anwar Gilani has congratulated Dr Shah Fahd from the department of agronomy over his achievement and helping place the varsity’s name at international forums.

Dr Shah Fahd was also among the five faculty members whose names had appeared in the Stanford University’s list of top two per cent scientists of the world.
