LAHORE: A sessions court has handed down death penalty to a man for raping and killing a three-old-boy in 2017.
Hanjarwal police had registered a case against Nadeem Aslam.
The prosecution said the accused had abducted the minor boy of the complainant and raped him before killing him. The forensic analysis of Nadeem had proved the commission of crime.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Shabraiz Akhtar Raja announced the verdict in the presence of the convict.
The judge awarded death penalty to the accused for murder, life imprisonment for sexual assault, seven-year imprisonment for abduction and five-year imprisonment for destroying evidence of the crime.
The judge also imposed a fine of Rs150,000 on the convict and also directed him to pay a compensation of Rs300,000 to the heirs of the victim. He wrote in his order that all the sentences would run concurrently.
