AWAITING DEGREES: The students of 2016-21 batch of the prestigious Khyber Law College are struggling to get their transcripts. The whole episode has put further education of the batch at risk and may end up wasting an entire year of their education. The majority of these students are unable to take admission in universities. The students have sent over a dozen of emails to the management, but to no avail. Who is responsible for this mess and who will take action?

DILAPIDATED BRIDGE: The Manzil Pump overhead bridge from Quaidabad towards Pakistan Steel Mills is in a dilapidated condition, and may witness a tragedy anytime. The joints of the bridge are open and the internal iron structure is exposed. Heavy vehicles use this road frequently and the possibility of a major accident on the road cannot be ruled out. The relevant authorities would do well to take pre-emptive action.

HEART-WRENCHING INCIDENT: The recent attack in Lahore’s Anarkali Market defies our tall claims of peace having been restored and terrorism having been rooted out. My heart sank after watching pictures and videos shared online and the plumes of smoke rising from the site of the blast. I used to visit the market whenever I was in Lahore. These crowded places are soft targets for terrorists who want to destabilise Pakistan. I hope that all such elements will be weeded out for good.

NATIONAL ACTION PLAN: A recent bomb blast in Lahore’s Anarkali Market left three innocent citizens killed. The clock was ticking since long when the terrorist attacks had started in Balochistan and Waziristan. One wonders if it is the beginning of a new wave of terrorism in the country. It is high time the National Action Plan (NAP) was revived and rigorously executed.
